Inspired by the lovely carpet of oak leaves that surround my home and studio in the fall, this Oak Leaf Hair Clip is crafted with a lovely iridescent silk dupioni fabric in a fresh green, embroidered with a complimentary colored thread, and backed with soft wool felt.
The oak leaf veining is first drawn and then free-style machine embroidered onto the silk; this makes each brooch or hair accessory completely unique. Fabric edges are sealed with Dritz Fray-Check to help prevent fraying. A 2-inch (5cm) snap clip is secured to the back (see last picture).
Leaf Dimensions:
Length - 3 1/2 inches from stem to leaf tip (approx.)
Width – 2 inches (approx.)
